WAKE UP ISRAEL. THE WORLD DOESNT CARE ABOUT THE NUMBERS. THEY BLAME YOU. FORGET THEM.
Just go in and disarm HAMAS and destroy their infrastructure. That’s the ONLY response, and the ONLY language they understand. If that sparks Hezbollah then flatten Lebanon.

When you say “go in” to whom are you referring exactly? Do you mean the Israeli army? Do you mean my son?
I have a problem with people choosing to live outside of Israel and telling those who live there to risk their lives on our behalf. I say this to those arguing from the “left” and from the “right”. If we want to tell Israel what to do, then we should make aliyah, put our lives on the line, and vote for the government we want. Otherwise we offer our support and our prayers but keep our wisdom to ourselves.

I understand that those who aren’t in the firing line have an easy time proffering opinions that don’t involve them physically (unless you were Zac who was beaten up on Thursday night by two Arabs and stabbed with a screwdriver on Kooyong Road) but I reject the notion that analysis and opinion can’t be proffered unless one is ready to perform the action or not within Daled Amos). My son is there as well and irrespective I do believe that analysis and opinion can be proffered (argued and ignored). There is no Halacha that I know of that says you must be sick or a doctor to present what you think is a cure. That being said, I understand your opinion. Interesting, I’m reading Telushkin’s book and there were many instances where prime ministers discussed strategy with people outside of Israel. I’m not obviously of that status, but it negates your premise. In addition, one would assume that based on your logic we should have polled all the Russians behind the Iron curtain before deciding to protest about their situation?

why don’t send your suggestion to the Israeli chief of staff, i am sure that he is waiting for your ideas how to handle the security of the state of Israel.

Mine was a political commentary. Don’t kid yourself. The Chief of Staff is constrained by what he knows is the solution and his words very carefully hint at that. It’s a political cabinet full of complicated calculations many of which have nothing to with the quickest and best way to stop the scourge. Unfortunately, I do not have the same faith in their decision making in this instance. I would love to be wrong but I don’t see a case for me not being able to note the political pressure that undermines potentially what needs to be done. Rav Soloveitchik when asked about demonstrations for Russian Jewry, said one has to ask Sovietologists. The LR considered his knowledge of Sovietology sufficient. All I know is that we pander to Obama when he didn’t even have the manners to condemn the then kidnapping of the three boys anywhere nearly as quickly as he did the Muslim boy הלכה עשיו שונא את יעקב and the disease is catchy to these חיות רעות to the extent of עם לבדד ישכון
