The report listed in the paper was hopeless. It lacked the broader information which has been published everywhere. As pointed out to me by [hat tip BA] they have a religious affairs writer, Yossi Aron who often sits on the fence on every issue. The fact that Aron didn’t write the story (was he even consulted!), and explain it more comprehensively without the supercilious quote from RMG Rabi being laid bare for all to see, is yet another blight on this “newspaper” whose agenda for sensationalism, especially when it involves Orthodox Jewry, knows no bounds, and is an example of very shoddy journalism.
Don’t hold your breath on RMG Rabi’s convert story. There’s lots more to it.
I am in Israel which is why I wasnot involved in story. Yossi Ar

Further to my previous comment could you please explain to me in a response BUT NOT in a posted blog when I have been fence sitting in your opinion. It was a gratuitous throw away line and you were apparently unaware of my absence despite that it actually says so at the end of my column this week . Yossi in Yerushalayim

I won’t respond here, but I notice that you are very capable of posting about your own families Simchas in your columns even when you are away. Again, I look forward to your expose of the complete ignorance of Josh Levy and the Chutzpa and Anti-Torah practices of RMG Rabi on your return. Do your own research. You are paid for it. Where is the COSV which you sit on? Silent about the RMG Rabi fiasco? He should be banned from every Orthodox Shule. Let him attend Shira Chadasha. There are Tshuvos he can use to justify his attendance. The Jewish News is a pathetic pareve rag with the same set of false teeth as the COSV which contains the same old faces doing almost nothing for the community except for the Eruv, despite all the talk, talk, talk, and more talk. I’ve had the misfortune of sitting through some meetings, where you play a prominent role. Perhaps you and Talila May and the others of her age should hand over to a young vibrant new leadership and stop holding onto your chairs. It’s a turn off for a young person to sit at a COSV meeting.
