Are these Litvaks normal

Hat tip (DS)

The implication is that the boys were kidnapped as punishment for getting Charedim to do army or equivalent.

Morons. Maybe it should have been Lapids children. I can’t believe the idiocy.

I've enjoyed being a computer science professor in Melbourne, Australia, as well as band leader/singer for the Schnapps Band. My high schooling was in Chabad and I continued at Yeshivat Kerem B'Yavneh in Israel and later in life at Machon L'Hora'ah, Yeshivas Halichos Olam.

  1. It is not only the Litvaks. Today many Rabbis think that they are G-d’s accountants, and as such know the reason for everything. Maybe the punishment of the kidnapping is because the majority of the Yeshive Bocherim do not join the army? Did one Rabbi think about this? Much more logical.

    And a response:

Is he right saying: If one does not respond to such allegation, it is like agreeing with it? Where are the real Rabbonim? Why don’t they condemn it?

  2. I would not paint a whole group with the same brush; I would however ask who gave the author of the piece and his editor permission to spread such vile invective, it is simply outrageous for any person, and I mean any person to connect the suffering of people with the actions of others, no mortal has that capacity and definitely the authority to make such statements.
This type of statement was made by a rabbi a number of years ago, extrapolating that a terrorist attack in Northern Israel was caused by Chilul Shabbos or some other perceived sin in another part of Israel.
These pompous self righteous blabberings are a Chilul HaSem and must be condemned.
I hope that a leader like Rav Steinmann will openly condemn and repudiate the Yated article.
